Hang Tags!

After the business cards arrived I thought it would be good to have some hang tags for item descriptions and price. They are finished off with a little grommet and red and white baker’s twine. Now they are ready to add to the totes!

This is the third time that I have done this craft in a class and it continues to be a favorite for both the kids and me. I have blogged about this before but this craft is so easy and fun, I wanted to mention it again. And even though it requires lots of glue, it surprisingly requires little clean up!

Business cards arrived!

Yesterday felt a bit like Christmas to me. The mail man delivered a box from Vista Print! My new business cards were inclosed…

Instead of buying decorations for Will’s class this year I decided to make something instead. I got this garland idea on Pinterest. I raided the art supply closet at school and found black fabric and ribbons (yes, I got permission first) then punched out some leaves and jack-o-lanterns with the die cut machine in the school work room. I tied black fabric strips and ribbon in two shades of orange to a string of orange twinkle lights then alternated pumpkins and leaves tied on with orange curling ribbon. It was really fun to make and has big impact. We will decorate the class room today!

Every time I see this style of place mat at a thrift store, I buy it and add it to my stash. I hadn’t made one of these for a while so I started on this one the other day. Since this type of handbag is made mostly by hand and not at the machine, it is perfect to work on while watching tv. Preferably “Project Runway” of course! This one was fun to put together so I am off to JoAnn to stock up on more bamboo handles…
