Our first stop was in North Carolina. We had a great time hanging out with family feeling right at home. Of course feeling at home means finding some new places to thrift and antique. My fab sister-in-law and I are on the same wave length when it comes to bargain hunting so she took me to some of her favorite places. My best find was a big jar of vintage buttons. The jar was marked $15.00 and at first I passed it by thinking it was a bit too pricey. On closer inspection Julia changed my mind by pointing out some real beauties and the fact that there were SO many buttons packed in that jar and it really was a steal. The nice lady who sold them to me gave me what she called a “North Carolina Discount” and so the jar only set me back a little over twelve dollars. When we got home, we poured them all out on a tray and then sorted them by color. I can’t wait to incorporate them into some totes very soon!
